Where is the old Moholt kindergarten?
Just down the hill from the new Moholt kindergarten- here’s the link to us on Google Maps!

    Why are you doing this?
We’re just a bunch of people who don’t like seeing good stuff go to waste.

This seems really cool, how can I get involved?
Send us a message on FB or email info@ntnurestore.no! We’re always happy to have more volunteers. We especially need volunteers in December/January and May/June. Check out the Contact page for details!

  • TAKING

When can I come by to take things?
In 2020, we’re going to open one day each month for both giving and taking. Check our Facebook page for details and updates.

    How much does this cost?
    Items are free for students!

    How is that even possible?
All these goods were donated by past students to help you out. We ask that you pay it forward by bringing the items back when you’re done with them 🙂

We are also lucky to have generous support from the Velferdstinget and Sit Bolig (including the facilities and van).

You’re called NTNU ReStore- is this only open for NTNU students?
All students in Trondheim are welcome, whether you’re from NTNU, BI, HiST, or DMMH. PhD students, you’re students too!

I need this table, but it has a bunch of stuff on it. Can I move the stuff and take the table?
Talk to our volunteers (in the super-fly ReStore gear) and we’ll figure something out with you.

This bookshelf is too heavy/awkward to carry to Berg, what should I do?
There is a delivery charge if you want something moved with the van (like a bookshelf or sofa) that is too big to carry. This is 150NOK for Sit properties and 200NOK for private housing. This can be paid by cash, card, or Vipps (571348) and goes directly back to the ReStore operation.

  • GIVING

What sort of things do you take?
We’ll take your household goods (big and small) that you think a student would be happy to have! Hangers, laundry racks, kitchen equipment, and desk lamps are especially popular items.

When can I drop off my stuff?
In 2020 we’ll be open once a month for both giving and taking until mid-May, when we’ll open more often. Check our Facebook page for updated hours. If this doesn’t work for you, send us a message to arrange an after-hours dropoff.

I’m moving out today/tomorrow/right now, can you come pick up my stuff?
    No.

    Why not?
All our pickups are done by volunteers, during exam season- we have a limited amount of drivers and energy. We schedule pick-up evenings once a week, allowing us to schedule the most efficient pick-up routes.

What information should I include when requesting a pickup?
Your name, address, contact information, and a detailed list of donations (including pictures) will make our lives much easier!

    Can I donate my bed/mattress?
Unfortunately not. Due to bedbug concerns we are unable to accept beds, mattresses, bed linens, or bed pillows.

I booked a pickup for [this item,] can you take [these other items] too?
No, sorry. Again, due to scheduling and space constraints, our volunteers can only collect what you have booked.

My pickup is scheduled for this afternoon, what should I do to help out your volunteers?
I’m so glad you asked! Be home during the scheduled time with your furniture on the ground floor, ready to go. If you can’t get it to the ground floor by yourself, make sure it is disassembled enough to fit through all doorways without a problem.
